Affordable Housing

The Poverty Roundtable Affordable Housing Group (PRTAHG) has revised its Terms of Reference in 2017.  This working group is a natural extension of the Affordable Housing Action Network (AHAN), which existed in Hastings County for more than 10 years.

In addition to continuing the advocacy and information sharing function of the AHAN, the PRTAHG will promote the concept of affordable housing within the community and at all levels of government.  Prince Edward-Lennox & Addington and Hastings County have 10 year affordable housing plans that the PRTAHG will be watching with interest, as they develop.

The PRTAHG annually updates “Poverty Facts”.  In 2015 this group hosted the “Bread and Butter” federal candidates debate.

The group usually meets the first Wednesday of each month at 2:30pm. Contact us to confirm the location of this month’s meeting.
