2018 Election Tools

June 7th our province will vote. We encourage you to vote, we encourage you to encourage others to vote and to share in kitchen table conversations on what it will take to eliminate poverty. We hope you will also engage with different forms of media promoting debate and action on poverty elimination.

The civic engagement group, Leave No One Behind has put together a toolkit for the upcoming provincial elections for your use. We hope you will distribute infographics through your networks, as well as attend upcoming candidate debates. Below are sample questions for candidates on issues related to poverty in Hastings-Prince Edward. Feel free to use and to share them.

The group has organized a candidates meeting on May 31st from 3:30-5:30pm at Eastminster United Church. The meeting will provide an opportunity for candidates to speak directly to poverty and poverty-related issues.

To get involved with the Leave No One Behind civic engagement committee please connect with Ed Bentley at ebentley@cogeco.ca.
